Vintage Bulova 19K White Gold Art Deco Ladies Cocktail Watch — Sapphire & Diamond Accents
Provenance
This ladies' cocktail watch dates to the Art Deco era, when Bulova was producing some of its finest jeweled timepieces for women. The 19kt white gold case is engraved with a fine foliate motif and set with sapphire baguettes and diamond accents at each corner, a hallmark of 1920s-30s design where a watch was worn as much for its jewelry value as its timekeeping. It comes to us as part of a private estate collection, still fitted with its Speidel expansion band.
Condition Report
Pre-owned, good vintage condition. The 19kt white gold case (per maker's stamp) shows light surface wear consistent with age; engraved detailing remains crisp and legible. All sapphire and diamond accents are present and secure. Dial shows light aging typical of the era but remains fully legible; Bulova signature visible. Movement is mechanical, manual-wind, 15-jewel Bulova caliber - winds and sets, but has not been serviced and is not guaranteed for accuracy; we recommend a full service by a qualified watchmaker before regular wear. Important: the case/watch head is solid gold per the maker's mark, but the current bracelet band is a later Speidel-brand expansion band in a silver-tone base metal, not gold - a common practical replacement, as original gold bands from this era rarely survive intact.
